اَکھ نَے مَرِ ہا تہٕ اَکھ نَے زیٚیہِ ہا
Akh nay mari haa te akh nay zeyi haa
اَکھ نَے مَرِ ہا تہٕ اَکھ نَے زیٚیہِ ہا
Akh nay mari haa te akh nay zeyi haa
Had one not died, and another not been born
تنگ گَژِھ عالم وَچھ موٗرے
Tang gatshi aalam wachh moorey
This world would grow stifling, beating its chest in despair
اکھ نَے کٕنہِ ہا بیاکھ نَے ہیٚیہِ ہا
Akh nay kini haa byaakh nay heyi haa
Had one not sold, and another not bought
چرخ گَژِھ بند تہٕ کُس کیاہ کھیٚیے
Charkh gatshi band te kus kya kheyi
The wheel of life would halt—then what would anyone eat?
