The Necessity of Experience
Gaanth kyaah zaani aayur wasun
Gaanth kyaah zaani aayur wasun
What could a scavenging kite ever know of the majestic, purposeful dive of a falcon?
Maanth kyaah zaani modur waath
What could an earthen pot ever know of the sweetness of the rich broth it holds?
Shaanth kyaah zaani leli nay rasun
What could the passionless ever know of the agonizing, ecstatic wails of true love?
Haanth kyaah zaani prasun kraath
And what could a barren woman ever comprehend of the excruciating, life-giving pangs of birth?
