The Lament of Iblees
Wod Ibleesan, takh logum dooras
Wod Ibleesan, takh logum dooras
Iblees wept bitterly: "My reign has met its ruin!
Setha karemas ibaadat
Even though I had offered Him such boundless, unyielding worship
Kamy poow dooryer may te Mansooras
Who created this vast distance between me and Mansur?
Tas te may aas akey kath
For he and I uttered the exact same word
Tas tsol neerith 'Ana' Mansooras
From Mansur's lips slipped the cry 'Ana' (I Am)
Shaabaash kornas chhey 'rahmat'
And he was praised and embraced with Divine Mercy
Mye chhum tshepe zan dyawaan tsooras
Yet I am treated with the hidden contempt reserved for a thief
Mardood myaanyo rato laanat
And condemned with the decree: 'O My outcast, take My curse!'
Bo oosus waaqif tihindis seeras
I was intimately aware of His divine secret
Moloom aasim ne soa haqeeqat
But alas, I could not comprehend that ultimate Reality
Tamy yeli lodnam, bo kityo looras
When He Himself decreed this fate for me, how could I possibly avert it?
Ath maani tsaaran ahl-e-maarifat
The profound meaning of this paradox will only be unraveled by the true Gnostics
