The Weight of Wisdom
Aasi chhenis thony thony te bartis gobyer
Aasi chhenis thony thony te bartis gobyer
The empty vessel shall rattle, while the laden holds its heavy grace
Aasi tooti kol te kaawas kaanyth
The parrot shall fall mute, while the crow boasts a singer's voice
Aasi phrastas thazar phal lanji gobyer
The barren poplar shall stand tall, while the fruit-laden branch bows low
Aasi paaz wanan te paathiliy gaanyth
The noble falcon shall retreat to the wild, while the lowly kite claims the open ground
