Precious rubies will never gleam within murky swamps
زالن منٛز جانوار بولن مو
Zaalan manz jaanwaar bolan mo
Trapped inside tight snares, birds will never sing their joyous songs
سیٚکہِ شاٹھن یِمبر زَلہٕ مو پھۄلن
Syeki shaathan yimbarzale mo phoalan
The delicate narcissus will never blossom upon barren banks of sand
کاژٕ وانن مۄکھتہٕ ہار میلن مو
Kaatse waanan mwakhte haar meelan mo
And necklaces of pure pearl will never be found in a merchant's shop of glass
