The Lost Path

آیس وتے تہ گیس نہ وتے

Aayas vatee ti gayas ni vatee

I entered this world pure, but became lost in worldly illusions and strayed from the path of enlightenment

سُمن سۄتھے لوٗسم دۄہہ

Suman soathey loosum doahe

Standing at the edge of existence, I realize the end of my life approaches and my time has run out

چندس وُچھم ہار نہ أتے

Chandas vuchum haar ni aatey

Searching within, I realize I have earned no spiritual wealth or good deeds during my lifetime

ناوِ تارس دِمہ کیاہ بو

Naawe taaras dimi kiah bo

Without the currency of spiritual merit, how shall I pay the Divine Ferryman to cross the ocean of existence and reach salvation?
